Losing your license or having it stolen can seem insurmountable, but it is not. In fact, all you need to do is fill out a simple form and cough up a nominal fee of $4. Check out these options designed to get your driver license back in your wallet in no time:

    Top Replace Your License Online

Log on to the online system and follow the information prompts. Your answers will be compared to your license account information to verify your identity, and then you will receive the duplicate card in the mail. (Please note that you must use a credit card to pay for the replacement license.)

Top Replace Your License Over the Phone

Call (877) 301-8093 during normal business hours (Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.) to speak with a Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) representative. He or she will walk you through the process over the phone.

Top Replace Your License in Person

Visit any MVD office to fill out the form and pay the fee in person.

If you decide to visit one of the MVD offices, you will need to bring valid identification. You must bring at least two pieces, one of which must be a primary source and include your date of birth. If one of the pieces has a photo, you will need only two. If you do not have identification with a photograph, you will have to bring three pieces. All of the pieces must be original or certified copies from the issuing agency and written in English.

    Top Lost License While Traveling

If you lose your license while out of the state or the country, just follow the instructions above for replacing your license over the phone. Normally, the license will be sent to your location on the same day.

    Top ID Theft

If you believe that someone is using your missing license, you should report the loss to the police department to prevent identity theft.
