Title XIX of Missouri's Revised Statutes, also known as the state's vehicle code, covers regulations relating to driver's licenses, vehicle registration procedures, and rules of the road for Missouri motorists. The vehicle code is divided into the following sections:

While most of the information contained in Missouri's vehicle code is summarized in state's driver handbook or on the Missouri Department of Revenue Web site, there are several situations in which drivers might want to refer to the full text of the code. For example:

Whenever you need or want to check the status of your driver’s license, you can order a driving record report. This record will spell out if your driver’s license is currently valid. Should your license have been revoked or suspended, the report will indicate that according to what’s on record at the DOR.
