Top Registering a Newly Purchased RV or Motor Home

According to Missouri law, you must title your RV or motor home within 30 days of your purchase. Otherwise, late fees will range from $25 to $200.

To obtain a title and registration, you must bring the following documents to your nearest motor vehicle office:

• A signed Application for Missouri Title and License

• Your Manufacturer's Statement of Origin or Certificate of Title

• Your Lien Release, if applicable

• Your Odometer Disclosure Statement, if applicable

• Payment for any necessary fees

Top Renewing Your Registration

For your convenience, the Missouri Department of Revenue's Motor Vehicle Bureau will send you a reminder postcard shortly before your RV or motor home registration is scheduled to expire. Save this postcard, because it contains important information about completing the registration renewal process. If you don't receive the postcard, you are still responsible for renewing your registration on time.

License plates and vehicle registrations can be renewed by mail or at any local motor vehicle office. In addition, some Missouri residents can complete the renewal process using the department's online system. If you are eligible, your renewal card will have a PIN printed on it.

Regardless of how you choose to complete the renewal process, you'll need to provide the following information:

• A copy of your registration renewal notice or a completed application from your local motor vehicle office

• Proof of valid auto insurance

• Your personal property tax receipt or statement of non-assessment

• Payment for renewal and administrative fees
