Top Check Your Driver's License Status

It is wise to check your own driving record every few years, to ensure there are no mistakes. Mississippi's Department of Public Safety (DPS) provides easy, online access to your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). This copy is for your records only; it is not a certified copy. The cost is $11, plus a $2.14 convenience fee.

You will need your driver's license and a major credit card to access your record online. If you want a printed copy, be sure to follow the directions exactly; this is only a one-time view of your record and you will need to print in the second step.

To receive a certified copy for work or court-related issues, you will need to complete a Driver Record Request and send it to the following address, with a money order for $11. You will need to include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the record to be mailed back to you.

Top Consent to Release Records Form

The Department of Public Safety will not release your driver record to anyone without your signed Consent to Release Record(s) form. If you need an employer, or some other individual, to have access to your driving record, complete the consent form and send an $11 money order with the request to the following address. Enclose a stamped and addressed envelope and mail them to:
