In North Dakota, most moving violations come with driving points. If you top 12 points your license will be suspended.

Most moving violations can be conveniently paid through the mail to the address listed on your ticket. But others, such as leaving the scene of an accident involving injury or death, for example, will require a court appearance, and, in some cases, legal representation.

    Paying Tickets

Tickets issued by North Dakota's Highway Patrol, Sheriff's Office, and Game and Fish and Department all must be settled with the District Court from the county in which you were fined. The court address is posted on your ticket.

If you get ticketed by a local police officer, you must settle your fine with the Municipal Court of that specific city or town.

All courts accept cash, checks, and money orders. Credit cards are not accepted.
