Visit your local driver's license office to change your name on your driver's license. Take a certified copy of your marriage license, divorce decree, adoption or naturalization papers, or other court order showing the name change.

The fee is $12.

Providing an updated Social Security card, reflecting your name change, is not mandatory. But if you want to change your name with the Social Security Administration (SSA), visit the agency's site. Give the agency at least 48 hours to process your request.

Top Registration and Titles

Changing your name on your title and registration is one process in Oklahoma. Visit your local tag office with a copy of your current title and registration, proof of insurance, and the certified document showing the name change. This document could be your marriage certificate, divorce decree, adoption or naturalization papers, or other court order.

The fee for changing your name on your Oklahoma title and registration is $12. If, however, changing your name also coincides with a title transfer, you'll pay an additional $17 fee, or $31 total.
