Page OverviewSouth Carolina traffic tickets carry important information―be sure to read it should you receive one.
The ticket will include a phone number that you must call to get information on your ticket. The agent will tell you where you pay your ticket and the time frame you have to do so.
Each county in the state sets their own rules and regulations for dealing with traffic tickets, so ask questions to learn as much as you can about your ticket. Just be sure to wait a few days―about a week―to allow the courts time to process the ticket before you call.
Some SC counties allow you to pay your traffic tickets online, but some do not, so be sure to ask when you call. You may be required to pay the fines in person, or by mail.
Top ADSAP
All DUI offenders must complete the Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Program (ADSAP) offered by the state. Completion of this course must be on file before your license can be reinstated.
Top SR-22 Insurance
If your license is automatically suspended due to the nature of your traffic violation, you will be required to purchase special insurance, SR-22, for 36 months following your suspension.
Top Traffic School
Traffic school is an option to lower the points on your license as well as satisfy a ticket. To find out if you're eligible for traffic school, call (803) 896-9925.
